Paul - who brings friendly nonsense

I'm really sorry I haven't been around for a while. I have to admit that there hasn't been much going on in my life of late and I haven't really felt like going out and taking photos. I'm not someone who normally retreats into my shell but that's the way I have felt for the past couple of weeks and I must snap out of it. I'm taking tomorrow off work, so I fully intend to go out and take photos of autumn colours and whatever else that happens along.

In an effort to cheer myself up I am now going to go through my scrapbook and post a load of my favourite photos. Some of you will have seen some of them before and some of you may have commented on them before but I just fancy posting them. I don't know where this is going to take me but it might be fun. So, here goes.

The Redland Wetlands Reserve, Southland, New Zealand

From the Pilatus, Switzerland

Purakaunui Falls, Catlins, New Zealand

The beach at Hokitika, Westland, New Zealand - one of my very favourite places in the whole world.

Archway Islands, off Wharariki Beach near Farewell Spit, New Zealand

Swan on a frosty morning in Somerset

Roche Rock, Cornwall

Isolated trees on Dartmoor

Tree roots at Avebury, Wiltshire

Glastonbury Tor

Reflection, Meeden, Netherlands

Someone whose voice will always cheer me up - Corinne Bailey-Rae

Matukituki River, Mount Aspiring National Park, New Zealand

Champagne Pool, Wai-O-Tapu, North Island, New Zealand

And finally, my beloved Lake Wanaka

Sorry to be a bit self-indulgent right now, but it's just what I needed.
