Our first stop, if you don't count a pee break in Wheddon Cross, was Arlington Court near Combe Martin, a stone's throw from the North Devon coast. It is a Georgian manor house set in a large area of parkland and some nice gardens.
And here it is.
Very Jane Austen!
Honeysuckle in the garden
I thought this made for a nice composition
Doorway between the formal garden and the kitchen garden
A path, a path!
There were great reflections in the pond
The house from the side. I loved the colour of the stone it was built from.
And the back of the house.
Lichen on a tree
The 'servants quarters'. Very nice too!
