I'm in my last hour (or so) of work before I have my summer holiday. The great thing is, I'm really not sure what I'm going to be doing or where I will end up going. I like that. There are a few things set in stone. My Dutch friends have come to stay for a few days and on Friday and Saturday evenings we will be at Glastonbury Abbey for the Extravaganza. Friday will be Corinne Bailey Rae and Van Morrison, and Saturday is the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra doing Tchaikovsky's Greatest Hits. (Not my thing, ideally, but better than a bonk over the back of the head with a blunt stick and, in that setting it should be enjoyable as long as they finish with the 1812 Overture with cannons and fireworks.)
Apart from that my activities and excursions will depend very much on the weather. I hope I will be able to post every once in a while and update you all with what I've been doing, but I apologise in advance if I don't comment as much as I would like to. The pay back for that will be lots of photos, hopefully of houses and gardens, wild places and sunsets, favourite places and new places, waterfalls and streams, woods and weeds. I'm sure you get the idea.
Take care, my LJ friends, I'll drop in on you from time to time, but I may be out of circulation on and off as well. Now I'm off up some hill with a bottle of wine and a smile on my face. Aaaah, summer!
