The stream that normally just seeps over the stones to the sea was a real torrent and I had great fun trying to get some action shots of the water; childish, I know, but fun.
This is the stream as it plucks up courage to trickle down over the stones. On this day it was a much bigger affair.
I loved this little jet of water escaping from a rock pool
And this flowing out of the cliff face
Climbing up to the cliff top path, this chap caught my eye.
Wild flowers always delight me
Teazels
And a bee on burdock
Then it was off to The Plough in Holford for lunch (thanks Hannah) followed by a stomp up through Hodder's Combe.
The beauty of the place speaks for itself, I think. The streams here were swollen because of all the rain.
Wet and warm means, fungusseseses
Finally, a couple of pictures of the going through the woods. It was fun crossing streams and walking up through the bracken to, almost, the skyline, and I had some of the best company anyone could wish for. Thanks to Hannah and Sarah, I had a great day.
