I surfaced at the week-end and managed to get out and about a bit. It was a real luxury to have a three-day week-end. On Friday I took a walk along the Bridgwater and Taunton canal. This, very predictably, is a canal that runs between Bridgwater and Taunton. It was the best day we had had for quite a while and I wanted to make the most of it.
Here are some pictures.
Lower Maunsel Lock
Every single bridge I came across was different to all the others.
I loved the tranquil look of this garden which I saw through a gap in the hedge.
And the cat asleep on top of this old caravan in another garden.
This was my favourite photo from the day.
Cob nuts are out in the hedgerows already!

In the couple of hours I spent walking the canal path I didn't see one boat actually moving. Not a total surprise but it would have been nice. Ahoy there, Rosy and Jim!
