Random photos - insects

I was looking through some of my photos last night and I came across these that I took last summer. I don't really think they need much explanation so I'll just get on with posting them.

The first two are of a dragonfly which was kind enough to land on the washing line and didn't feel compelled to fly away even when I started taking photos af it. The second one is my favourite.

This moth was on the lampshade in my room. The first picture is with the light on and no flash and the second without the light on and with flash. I promise this is the same moth in both pictures.

What a fabulous colour! Just for the record, it's a Common Emerald Moth.
