I think this is really good. Apart from the fact that Anne's diary is one of my very favourite books ever, I recently attended an exhibition called Anne Frank and You. The exhibition was basically about racism and tolerance and how lessons that should have been learned in the past haven't been. It involved the work of local students as well as a short film about Anne, her life and her diary. There was also a recreation of her room in the Secret Annexe. She is a tragic figure in many respects but is also a testament to the optimism of youth and the ability of many people to find humour and light in dark situations. I admire her writing and her joy and just her 'normalness'.
