Greylake revisited

So, anyway, after I left Glastonbury, when I was just a couple of kilometres from home, the sodding sun came out. I was close to the Nature Reserve at Greylake which I had visited back in the winter, so decided to swing by and take a look at what might be going on there. The best thing was that it was still so early that there was no-one else about.

These are some of the things I saw.

The village in the distance is where I live.

Rosebay Willowherb (I think of it as the Swiss flag flower for fairly obvious reasons.)

A very typical scene of the landscape I grew up in - drainage ditches covered in duckweed, lush green grass, low hills in the background.

Then I spotted this handsome chap.

By the time I got home, still only at eight o'clock in the morning, it was raining again.
