Somerset April Sunsets

First of all I would like to thank all of you who kindly commented yesterday when my Friends Page went on the blink. It was really strange not being able to see other people's entries. I know I probably over-played the little-boy-lost role, but it did suddenly feel like I was stranded in cyberspace with no company. So, thank you all for being there for me, you are an incredible bunch of people and I'm really proud to have you all as friends here. :)))

The weather here in the south-west of England has been exceptional for quite a while now. Warm sunny days and balmy evenings. I can't help thinking that we are going to have to pay for all this sunshine at some point, but for now I'm just loving it. Apart from anything else, it has meant that I have been able to wander off when I've got home from work to take some photos. The sunsets have been great, and I thought I would share a few of my efforts from the past week with you. After all, we're all suckers for a good sunset, aren't we? So, without further ado, I bring you Somerset April Sunsets.

Pink sky after the sun had gone down on Tuesday last week.

Wednesday last week. I love the sunbeams flowing out from between the clouds.

These are all from yesterday evening

The sun going down, reflected off the village church.

A light aircraft getting in on the act.

Yesterday's sunset, going down over the Quantock Hills in the distance.

Closer - well, zoomed anyway.

I took this one in Switzerland a few weeks ago. I just loved the contrast of the red leaves and the amazingly blue sky.
