Last Sunday I decided to get myself outside and looking for a chance to take some photographs.
This is one of my favourite places, and somewhere I have taken lots of photos. Burrow Mump, near where I live, is a lump that sticks up out of the flat, low lying pasture land of Sedgemoor. There is a ruin of an old church on the top of the hill and it is also the site of a fort built by King Alfred in the ninth century. As I got to the top of the hill it started raining and I was treated to a brilliant rainbow.
The land around is around sea level, some is actually below sea level, and in the winter some of it floods.
This is my favourite picture from the day, a tree half way up the Mump.
Nearby there was a field full of swans.
And the sun going down over the wetlands.
