I've been tagged

Tagged by artistiqua Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a blog entry of some kind with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends and tag them; no tag backs. This explanation should be included. Okay, so let's give it a go. 1. I seem to be quite a creative person. I love writing, I love music and was once in a band where I wrote a lot of the songs and enjoyed the creative process. I love photography, which is a relatively new form of expression for me, and I appreciate art and artistry. I enjoy cooking, which is a creative pursuit as well. Yet, and here it comes, although I have been told over the years, that I am good at these things, I am slightly affraid of succeeding at any of them. I suppose that is insecurity, I want to be good at these things but am scared of being good at them. 2. I gather useless information, trivia, if you will. I seem to be able to remember the most incredible things and to answer the most random of questions, but have great difficulty remembering where I am and what I should be doing. Happily, I still remember who I am! 3. I own slightly more than 3000 CDs. From Abba to Zero7. Favourite bands and musicians include, Blur, Garbage, Ash, Stereophonics, Beth Orton, Sahara Hot Nights, Salmonella Dub, Echobelly, Fur Patrol, Air and many many more. But I don't own a mobile phone, and I don't want to either. 4. I am currently teaching my nephew to play pool and snooker, and to swear. It's what a wicked uncle is for. 5. Before I was made redundant a couple of years ago, I used to be the manager of a sperm bank - for cows. At any one time, I was responsible to looking after enough bull semen to make over two million cows pregnant.  6. Although I have deeply held political views, and it appals me that socialism appears to be dead in Britain, I actually know a secret about politicians. My secret is that I can tell when politicians are lying. You too can know this amazing secret. You can tell when politicians are lying, it's when their lips are moving! So there we are, hardly earth-shattering. Now I must tag six of my friends. It would be great if you do this, but you don't have to. I tag, in no particular order:- [info]ilmera
