Wanaka tree

Nip and tuck

In a time of change for me, and in a time when I will soon be much busier and less able to devote as much energy and time to LiveJournal. I feel that it is necessary to make a few preparations. Nothing drastic though, I would miss you all too much otherwise. There are several journals on my friends list that haven't been updated for months, I can only assume that people have gone away, found other interests and are getting on with their lives. There are also a couple of multiple journals on my list that haven't been updated. There are communities that seem to have died the death as well, or which don't really do what I expected they would. I think I'm going to pare all that down a bit.

The short version of that is that, if you update regularly, if you comment in my journal or if I regularly comment in yours, there is no way in the world that I would drop you. Some of you are very important to me as people, not just journals on a screen. You will not be cut. But there are others that I haven't really connected with, don't really know or who have got tired of what I'm trying to do here and it's probably time to move on. We'll see.

I'm sorry, I'm finding this really hard and always hate this job, but my friends list is becoming unwieldy again and having been prompted by a couple of others who have gone through the same thing recently and who have chopped me off, probably quite rightly, I think it's time for an axe to fall here too.

On a slightly different note, you may know that I'm maintainer of a community called westcountry_pic  Would anyone like to take on running that one? It's pretty easy, I just don't seem to be able to devote the time to it that it deserves and promote it in the way that I should. If you would like to take it on, please let me know and I'll happily hand over the reins.

I'm sorry about all this, and it certainly doesn't mean that I'm going to comment less, post less or devote less time to those of you who are friends, but I need more time to do the other things I have to do.
