The Lost Gardens of Heligan part 2

This is the second part of my photos from my visit to The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall a week ago. They carry on where the ones I posted yesterday left off. The formal flower garden was a pure delight with lots of interesting angles and lots of colour.

Overall, I loved the mix of wild areas, formal planting, kitchen garden areas with melons and pumpkins, and things like a beautiful little Italian style garden with a cherub statue standing above a long rectangular pond and, in the last photo, even a green giant poking his cheeky nose above the soil to spy on visitors as they walked past.

I hope you like these photos.
