Bath in the rain.

Yesterday I took a day off work to go to Bath with fujiirohana, her brother and her mother (my cousin Karen). Hannah needed to visit the Roman Baths. This gave me a chance to visit lots of my favourite book and CD and DVD shops. The unfortunate thing was the weather. Not so much a bath, but certainly a serious power-shower.

This meant that my plans for lots of photography went, more or less, out the window. I did get some good shots but not the sort of things I was hoping for. So, as yet, I have failed to honour my agreement with ironicpseudonym but please bear with me and I will do my best to compensate. We called in at a few of the regional pretty places on the way home as things were clearing up a bit in the afternoon.

Otherwise, I have a new LJ friend to welcome. ashleygreene runs one of the communities I am a proud member of, scenic_scapes and where I have posted some of my pics. She has given me lots of encouragement and made me feel most welcome, so I am really honoured to be able to associate with her through LJ. As with all my LJ friends, I am looking forward to getting to know her better through her journal and to seeing lots more of her images. As she has been so kind when commenting on my photos, this one is for her. Ashley, I hope you like it.

It is the Rippon Vineyard at Wanaka.
I just loved the bands of colour from the grass in the foreground right through to the clouds.
