Flowers

One evening last week I looked out and saw the most wonderful light dappling the garden through the trees. I dashed out with my camera, knowing full well that this kind of thing never lasts for long, and had a bit of a mooch around. These photos are the result. A lot of people have been posting flower photos recently, this is my effort.

Red hot pokers

I like the contrast in shapes and colours.

This was my favourite, detail of a foxglove

A classic summer rose

I don't know what this is but there's loads of it.

The etherial qualities of a cornflower

Perfect light of a jumble of different plants

Moon daisies like fried eggs. At least, I hope they do.

Another rose in summer evening light

And finally, a clutch of South African daisies.
