I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, this web project is taking up all my time and I'm still having to do the day job on top of that as well. This means that I'm busy during my working day and in the evenings I don't feel much like staring at a computer screen. I am still reading most of your entries, though, and commenting when I can.
In the last couple of weeks, where free time has been very precious, I have to confess to not having done very much. On the Saturday of the week-end before last I did go down to Lyme Regis very early in the morning to take photos but it wasn't the best of days and it was blooming cold. Consequently, the photos weren't that great and I felt like an icicle when I got back into my car. From there I went along the coast road looking for places to visit. None of the places I pitched up at inspired me much and I ended up getting warm again in a supermarket at Sidmouth! From there I went into Exeter to meet up with my wonderful cousin Hannah. She's just started at the university there and I thought it would be good to take her out for lunch - making sure that she had at least one decent meal that week! It was great to see her again and spend some time with her - she is one of the few relatives I have that I can really identify with. I always feel sad when we part company. Happily, she isn't far away these days and I can get to see her more regularly than ever before. Good thing.
This week-end just gone I took a bit of a wander around a couple of areas of Sedgemoor and managed to get a few decent shots of some swans in flight. On Saturday afternoon I also went to Montecute House. I have photos and, when I get round to selecting and re-sizing them, I will post them here. I would have done that at lunchtime today, but I've gone and lost my data stick, so I'll have to do it at home. Ho hum. I think the moral is, slow down Paul, concentrate on what you're doing and zip up your pockets when you're out and about. Luckily, there wasn't anything on it that I don't have copies of somewhere else, but it's just annoying.
Anyway, I hope you are all well and happy and missing me terribly. I shall return, I promise, but for now all I can do is dip in and out as and when I can. Take care all.
Oh, and in other news....
While the USA finally sees sense and actually votes for a President that the rest of the world can understand and who seems to understand that there is a rest of the world out there, New Zealand has an election and votes in a pseudo-Fascist government - what is going on?
