Paul - who brings friendly nonsense

I'm back

I had a fantastic time in Saint Petersburg, spent with some great people who looked after me so well. I can't thank them enough for the trouble and time they took to make my stay so enjoyable. So, I have special thanks for the wonderful ilmera  who was a real star in every possible way and the best friend I could wish for, baby Alice who was gorgeous and endearing and funny and loveable, divine_scourge who made sure I had a brilliant guide when ilmera  couldn't be with me and has now become a real friend as well, Nikita who did a great job of looking after me and organising things. All in all, they were all incredible and I am so grateful. Without you I don't know what I would have done.

By the way, I now have Alice's cold and I'm proudly incubating it so that I can spread it around the whole of the UK. Everyone should have a share of Alice's cold!

I went to loads of places, did lots of interesting things and have photos to prove it. But first I am going to post the most important pictures; the photos I most wanted to take.

Julia and Alice in the square outside the Russian Museum

Alice through a shop door

The spaghetti incident!

Julia and Kat in a park outside the city - I'm ashamed to say I don't remember the name of the park.

Alice with Nikita's sunglasses

Alice in the park near the Church of the Saviour on the Spilt Blood

Having an interesting time with the fallen leaves.

There will be more photos and stories over the coming days, but this had to come first as the most important post from my time in Russia.
