meme thingy

From  lluvyi  a meme for this fine morning

Has anyone ever told you that you have pretty eyes?
I don’t remember, so probably not. It depends whether you consider bleary and bloodshot to be pretty or not.

Name something great that happened to you today?
It’s a little early for that, but yesterday I met up with my former boss for a coffee and that’s always great.

Who was the last person's voice you heard?
A colleague who sits next to me.

Have you ever passed out on the bathroom floor?
Yes, it was nice and cool and stopped the world spinning around for a while.

Do you like your life as of now?
Very much. I always have – I don’t see any point worrying about things I can’t change, so just ignore them and don’t let things get to me, there’s no point.

Do you crack your knuckles?
No, but I can.

What were you doing 20 minutes ago?
Drinking coffee and thinking about the answers for this meme thingy.

Does anyone call you babe?
I hope not.

Who's car were you last in?
My own on the way to work.

Last thing you drank?
Predictable answer coming up – coffee.

Have you ever thought about getting your nose pierced?
No, but I’ve often wondered about getting my upper lip pierced so that I can see where I’m going when I’m whistling.

What can't you wait for?
Thursday of next week, when I will be on my way to St Petersburg, where I will finally meet my special friend Julia, thus making it, almost certainly, the most important day of the year.

Are you good at giving directions?
Yes, except that I do have a bit of a problem telling the difference between left and right – ‘this way’ and ‘that way’ seem to do the job though.

Has anyone told you they missed you lately?
Yes, and I’ve told someone else that too.

Do you currently have a hickey?
We don’t call them that here, and no I don’t.

Have you ever driven without a licence?
Yes, technically, but that was a long time ago, so I think I got away with it.

How many red lights have you ran?
Ran? Ran? Doesn’t make sense! If you mean, how many times have I driven through the lights when they’ve been on red, never, except where the lights had stopped working properly and everyone else was doing it.

Is there anything that you are craving right now?
Being out taking photos on this fine morning rather than being in the office.

Do you drink tea?
Not very often. If I do, it’s usually Earl Grey or Rooibos vanilla tea, or Swiss herb tea when I can get it.

Is anyone on your bad side right now?
I don’t have a bad side, but there are one or two people in my bad books because of the way they have treated other people recently.

What jewellery are you wearing?
I don’t wear jewellery but I do have my pounamu koru pendant on as always.

Do you clean when you’re upset?
Clean? Upset? Clean?

Does your phone ring in the middle of the night often?
Never because I haven’t got one, don’t need one and don’t want one.

Would you ever dye your hair blonde?
Well, it used to be blonde and now it’s largely absent, so there’s no point really. Anyway, what does it matter, it’s only hair.

Who do you spend your nights with?
In a metaphorical sense, a list of authors as long as I can see.

Have you done anything you regret in 2008 so far or messed up?
No, I really don’t think so. I’m sure there have been missed opportunities, but never any regrets – life’s too short.

What did you do this weekend?
Played with my new camera and lens, watched the Grand Prix, shopped a bit for gifts to take away with me, watched quite a lot of the Paralympics and felt totally humbled by what I saw.

What was the last thing you ate?
Confession time, chocolate.

What are you wearing?
I see it as fancy dress, but for my work it has to be ‘normal’ trousers and a ‘proper shirt’ – I rebel by making sure that it’s chinos and a shirt that is not tucked in and undone at the neck without a tie.

Who was the last person you hugged?
A goodbye hug for a former colleague.

What is the last film you saw in a cinema ?
The Golden Compass, and I’m still outraged that it wasn’t called Northern Lights.

Do you get seasick?
Very and spectacularly.

Do you get distracted easily?
I’m not su……………….oh look, there’s a little birdy in that tree over there, I wish I had my ca……………..wow, it’s great working here sometimes, at least when someone like that walks by………………could do with a coffee.

What is the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Watched ‘Turn Back Time’ – Dara O’Briain and Phill Jupitus. Who could ask for more?

Is it easier to forgive or forget?
For me it’s much easier to forgive than to forget. But there are times, when it comes to the way people treat other people, that I’m not prepared to do either.

Are you a jealous person?
No.

Do you believe in love at first sight?
I believe it can happen.

Would you rather go camping or to a five star hotel?
Neither if I had the choice, a backpackers is the place to stay.

How is the relationship between you and your parents?
Fine.

What was the first thing you did this morning?
Turned off the alarm clock, turned on the radio, turned on the light; then rested for a while – well, all that activity takes it out of you, doesn’t it!

What is your current mood?
Surprisingly good.

Do you think you have made a difference in anyone’s life?
I think so, I certainly hope so.

Do you have a best friend whose name starts with the letter S?
As it happens, yes I do. Si and I have been mates since the first day of Grammar School.

Do you talk to your pets?
Of course, life would be very dull if you couldn’t anthropomorphise once in a while.
